The Winter Royal

A one off piece that was inspired by royal type figures in movies and history. All pieces were made by me I draped the off the shoulder wrap and skirt and added frog closures to make it more fitting. Even the spandex poly under dress was made by alter patterns I created for other projects. This is also my faux fur hat created I got inspired to make from a plush bunny I made for someone I love. Finally the wool wrap and skirt have a pattern causing me to strategically cut the fabric to make the patter cohesive and unify beautifully.

Educational start

My first set pieces done at university and first application of hand embroidery to a garment. A corset that is partially traditional as it does contain boning and lacing, but has lace fabric as flair detail. It pairs with pants made with a side zipper and embroidered detail.

Chenille Jacket

A stand alone jacket that was an impulsive creation. I was in North Carolina and visited and upholstery fabric shop and fell in love with this fabric and made this crop jacket by tracing and altering a jacket pattern I had on me at the time. I also experimented and made an invisible snap button closure as i had few on me in my backpack and wanted the jacket to close in some way. When the jacket is snapped closed there is no sign of the snaps making a seamless closure. Along with the chenille fabric the collar and cuff are from suede curtains i up cycled and lastly bias tape was used to finish the raw edges inside and at the hem.
